I’ve been hard at work on Book 4: Devil Water and am pleased to announce that it’s nearly finished. In the back of Demon’s Nest I announced that Devil Water would be available in November, but I’m pleased to announce now that it will be out before then. If all continues to go well it should actually be out before the end of this month. Right now I’m finishing up the cover art, which is coming along great. It features Andre, looking as miserable as I was able to draw him – which is pretty much the state that he’s in throughout most of the book. As if having to bury his grandfather, deal with his estranged father, and uncover his family’s darkest secrets weren’t enough, he also has to try to avoid being killed by misguided hunters from the Pride, put up with Mircea who suddenly wants to be his BFF, and keep himself from killing Leon who won’t stop trying to hit on Eden. And yes, Natalia, Matthias, and Keene show up again as well. Add in the rest of the Gargoyle Club, Abdiel, and Tobias, and the result is one fine frenzy.

Demon’s Nest Now Available In Stores

I put up another post saying the exact same thing a week or so ago, but I guess it didn’t take. Anyway, Demon’s Nest is now available to order from most major book retailers. Book 4: Devil Water is coming together nicely and will be available this fall.

Again, I’ve gone a long time without updating. I’ll try to be better about it in the future. Last month was just very trying for me, and at times it was all I could do to keep it together.

My grandmother on my father’s side, Helen Fleming, died in mid April. I loved her a lot and miss her very much. For awhile, after her death, I wasn’t able to concentrate on much of anything, so getting Book 3 finalized took a little longer than I meant for it to.

On a better note, Book 3 of the Gargoyle Legends, Demon’s Nest, is now available online, directly from the publisher. The bibliographic databases that most major book retailers use are still being updated to include it, but I’m keeping tabs on that and will post another update when it’s available through Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

My next project will be Gargoyle Legends Book 4: Devil Water. Andre will be taking a bigger role in this book as some secrets about his family are revealed and the series starts to take a darker turn. I’ve also been working with another party on something else that has to deal with my Gargoyle Legends series, that I’m pretty excited about, but I need a little more time before I can reveal the specifics of it. I didn’t want to say anything about it too early, but things are starting to come together and hopefully I’ll have more on that for you soon.

Working on Book 3

Sorry it’s been awhile since my last post. Nothing major has happened since then, but I still thought that I should give an update. I’m working on the third Gargoyle Legends book right now, Demon’s Nest. Currently, I’m on the 2nd draft. So far everything’s going good, and it will definitely be released on time, maybe even a few weeks early, so check back mid-April and see.

Abdiel’s the central character of Book 3, though Eden and Andre still play large parts too. Many of the questions that I’ve been asked about Abdiel’s past and upbringing will be answered in this book, but those answers raise even more questions.

Hopefully I’ll have the cover art up soon for you guys to see. Anyway, many thanks to everyone for reading.

The sixth album page, Chessmen is up. No picture for it yet, but I have added a seventh page to the roster, which I’ll post tomorrow – and I promise to have a picture for that one when it goes up. It’s kind of funny – I seem to make my writing deadlines easily enough, often finishing them early, but I guess missing my art deadlines offsets that, lol.

Anyway, I hope everyone’s having a good holiday season, and the last album page will be up tomorrow.

New Album Pages – Tree and Hot Chocolate

I added two more pages to the St. Jude Family Christmas Album. Tree and Hot Chocolate are now up. I was able to get the accompanying pictures up for Tree, but I wasn’t able to complete the graphic for Hot Chocolate yet, and will add that at a later time. Cards is still missing its picture too – right now I’ve got relative visiting for the holidays, and work is really busy too, so I don’t haven’t had time to do everything I’d like to. They will be added in the near future though – I need the practice at drawing, though I am particularly pleased with the way that the clockwork hummingbird came out. Since I haven’t put a picture in one of my posts in awhile, I’ve decided to include it here, to help make my website look festive.

More Album Pages Up

I just posted two more pages of the St. Jude Family Christmas Album: Cards and Cookies. The file for the picture that goes along with Cards got corrupted, so I’ll be putting that image up later, once I get a chance to fix it, but the pictures that go with Cookies are working fine and have been posted.

Next up: Tree. Anyone who liked the description of how Abdiel remodeled his kitchen should enjoy this one.

St. Jude Family Christmas Album

I’ve begun posting my newest short story: The St. Jude Family Christmas Album. This is actually a series of 6 vignettes about different events during the first Christmas Eden and Abdiel have spent together since their mother died, 13 years ago. Each page contains a picture or two, and the accompanying text puts it into perspective. Up first: Decorations.

Tarot Killer is Finished!

The last chapter of Tarot Killer, Chapter 11, is now up, as well as the Epilogue.

Right now I’m working on Demon’s Nest (Gargoyle Legend 3) and a short story in which Eden and Abdiel celebrate their first Christmas together, which I’ll be posting later this month. I’ll be pretty busy for the rest of December, but in 2010 I hope to add a lot more content to my website, including several more stories that tie in with my Gargoyle Legends, a longer and slightly trippy work that I’ll be serializing light novel style, some more art work, and info about the next two upcoming Gargoyle Legends that I’ll be releasing next year.
